FAQs

There are many benefits and advantages to purchasing trip insurance. As with any insurance policy there are terms and conditions that apply. For complete details, you should reference the Sun Trip Preserver Policy Details which can be found at Sun Trip Preserver.  Vacation plans are more than just routine travel plans. In many cases, renting a vacation home is the culmination of hopes, dreams and savings that are months or years in the making. With unforeseen travel problems like trip delays, travel illness, unpredictable weather or lost baggage occurring more frequently than ever before, there’s a lot at stake. Having the right coverage can save the day for everyone involved.

Once a reservation request is received a signed Vacation Rental Agreement and Advance Rent Payment must be received in our office within three (3) days of booking. If your reservation is less than forty-five days (45 days) in advance it should be paid with 24 hours of booking.

Depending on how you make your reservation, you will receive a few emails regarding your vacation.  If you book on line via our website, you will receive an immediate confirmation that your reservations has been received and then after speaking one of our reservation specialist, you will receive a confirmation with all of the details surrounding your reservation, which will need to be reviewed and signed (electronic signature preferred but email/fax/mail is acceptable).  If you book via telephone, you will receive your confirmation immediately following your booking (within minutes), this confirmation should be reviewed, signed and returned right away.  If you book via an OTA (online travel agent), you will receive a confirmation from Seaside Vacations (as well as the OTA) which should be reviewed, signed and returned right away.  You will also receive an email regarding  your final payment if you are paying in payments, you will will receive a welcome email prior to your arrival and you will also then receive a thank you email after your stay.

Our office is located at 501 Main Street, North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina 29582.   This is where you will check-in and get the keys (and/or check in package) for your vacation rental home. We will have directions to your vacation property ready for you. Some homeowners have keyless entry. If you are staying in a house that provides a Keyless Entry system you will be given the instructions at the time of check in.  If you are a late arrival, you will still come to our office to pick your check in package.  We have an after hours lock box and this information will be provided to you once you notify our office that  you  will be arriving after regular office hours.

All properties require a security deposit. This deposit is security against damage, proper clean-up at check-out and other charges as described on your Lease Agreement. As part of your stay you may purchase a Security Deposit Protection plan designed to cover unintentional damages to the rental unit interior that occur during your stay. If purchased, the policy will pay a maximum benefit of $1500. Any damages that exceed $1500 will be charged to the credit card on file. If, during your stay at one of our Rental Properties, an Insured Person causes any damage to real or personal property of the unit as a result of inadvertent acts or omissions, the Insurer will reimburse the Insured for the cost of the repair or replacement of such property up to a maximum benefit of $1500.  If you do NOT purchase the $55 Security Deposit Protection plan then you will be required to pay a $500 refundable deposit with your final payment.

Most kitchen have the basic requirement for preparing meals during your stay.  The following items are available at most properties:  Glassware, flatware, cooking utensils, dinnerware set, pots/pan, small appliances including blender, coffee maker, toaster, major appliances such as stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher.

No toiletry items are provided, you should remember to bring toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, soap, dish soap and personal hygiene products. 

You should call Seaside Vacations for any issues with your vacation rental.  We keep regular office hours and are ready to take your call.  If you call after regular business hours, you will have an opportunity to leave a message.  If your request is an emergency, you should wait for the prompt for the emergency line and leave a detailed message including your name and telephone number and someone will get back to you within a few minutes.  IF you have an emergency that requires police or fire department, please call 911.  If you have an issue that can be handled during regular business hours, please be kind enough to leave a non emergency message or calling during regular hours.

There are parking restrictions at ALL condominium buildings.  If you rent a 1, 2 or 3 bedroom condo, you will receive 2 parking passes.  If you rent a 4 bedroom condo,  you will receive 3 parking passes.  We cannot issue additional passes as part of the 'building management requirements'.  Parking passes are required at all times.  You cannot park boats, trailers, campers, motorcycles at condominium building parking lots.  If you rent a private home, you should check for maximum parking AND be sure to check on parking for boats, campers, trailers, motorcycles as many private home locations have restrictions for these items.  Seaside Vacations has areas for  your overflow parking needs OR if you bring vehicles that are not allowed at properties.  Golf Carts are not allowed at  condominium properties. 

Should you have to cancel your reservation for any reason, let us know immediately. We will attempt to re-rent your property. A $100 service and handling fee will be charged. A refund of your deposit (Less $100.00) will be made if cancellation is 60 or more days prior to your arrival. Cancellation less than 60 days prior to arrival MUST be re-rented before a refund (less $100.00) will be made. Consider Travel Protection Insurance to avoid this risk. Red Sky

Check In: 3-5 p.m. (June – August). Please do not go to the property before checking in with our office. Weekends are extremely busy. If people or cars are seen at the property, it will delay its cleaning and inspection and thus your check-in time. Keep in mind that it is difficult for us to prepare every property between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.  Upon completion of housekeeping services, your rental will be released to you SOMETIME between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm.  PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT YOUR RENTAL WILL BE AVAILABLE AT 3:00 PM.  If you arrive early, stop by our office. If your property is ready, we will gladly check you in. If not, we will give you an approximate check-in time. There is never a promise of early check-in; guaranteed check-in is between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.  If you have rented outside of June, July and August most properties are ready for check in by 3PM. 

Please understand that it is difficult, at best, to prepare our properties between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. for the next guests. Your assistance in leaving the property by 10 a.m. and completing our CHECK-OUT procedures is greatly appreciated. 10 a.m. is a firm check-out time. A late check-out charge of $50 per hour may be deducted from your security deposit. Although you will be given instructions upon check-in, the following is a brief list of what is expected of you when you leave your property. If you prefer not to do this, check with our Housekeeping Department for a price to complete this for you.

  • Put all dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start
  • Remove all trash and food items
  • Place dirty linens in bathtub
  • Leave bedspreads and mattress pads on beds
