One thing we adore doing is wandering down the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade. This 1.2 mile-long oceanfront Boardwalk and Promenade is a fantastic place to spend the afternoon wandering! Here are a few things we love about the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade.
The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade stretches through the sand from the 14th Avenue to 2nd Avenue piers. This top-notch Boardwalk is always a family favorite, providing stunning oceanfront views of the endless coastline, numerous charming shops, fantastic restaurants, and so much more.
The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade is divided into three sections. The northern portion starts on the 14th Avenue North Pier and winds around to Plyler Park. Continuing down, the mid-section of the Boardwalk is located from Plyler Park to the former Pavilion Amusement Park site at 8th Avenue North. This section’s atmosphere, which is more carnival-like, offers oceanfront dining along its stretch. The last, but not the least section, is the southernmost end. This end of the Boardwalk leads up to the 2nd Avenue pier and features a stunning oceanfront park!
Throughout the summer, the Boardwalk features numerous festivals and events, including the Ocean Boulevard’s Hot Summer Nights, which is held in Plyler Park. This awesome entertainment program is held nightly from June through August. This is an amazing activity for the entire family. Plus, it is FREE! For all you music lovers, come out and hear live the hottest bands in the area! The live music series features local and regional rock, country, jazz,pop and more! The festival is held every Tuesday,Thursday,and Saturday,June 9th through August 29th from 8:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. Don’t miss out on this fun festival on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk!
While wandering down the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade, pop into one of the numerous restaurants to grab a bite to eat.
