Why You Need to Visit Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf

Since its establishment in 1955, Professor Hacker’s Lost Treasure Golf has been a staple in beautiful North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Entertaining millions of families each year, it’s the original of seven locations across the United States and features two exotic 18-hole miniature golf courses with fascinating backstories. Perfect for a fun date night or an evening out with the kids, a trip to this mini golf course is a must on your summer vacation to the Grand Strand – and it’s just a 15-minute drive from Seaside Vacations! Here’s what you’ll see at Professor Hacker’s Lost Treasure Golf.

Spend an Evening at Professor Hacker’s Lost Treasure Golf

Lost Treasure Golf

The Lost Treasure Golf Course begins with an exciting train ride that will take you to the first holes at the top of a mountain. As you play your way back down to the bottom, you’ll follow the story of Duffer A. Hacker, a noted explorer, archeologist, and professor from the University of Chicago. In the 1920’s, the Professor led two expeditions to South America in search of the ancient gold and diamond mines rumored to be hidden on the Islands. Players can putt their way through the mine and discover fascinating prehistoric bones, statues of miners, and maybe even hidden treasure!

Dinosaur Adventure

Built in 2005, Professor Hacker’s Dinosaur Adventure Course features an 85-foot long steamship, waterfalls and streams, dinosaurs, a hot air balloon, and more. The story behind this course is also a mysterious one, where Professor Hacker accidentally crash-landed his hot air balloon into a canyon inhabited by dinosaurs that were thought to be extinct. Throughout the course, you’ll follow Professor Hacker through the jungle, around waterfalls, and on land as you explore a lost world.
