Top 4 North Myrtle Beach Golf Courses
Azalea Sands Golf Club
Azalea Sands was designed in 1972 by golf course architect Gene Hamm. It’s a classic on the Myrtle Beach golf scene and has a reputation for offering great golf for all ages. Azalea Sands has the widest fairways in the area, but don’t be deceived by its open layout — the beautiful trees and sand bunkers are sure to test your skills. Choose the tee that best suits your game and go have some fun! The course is on Highway 17 in downtown North Myrtle Beach.
Barefoot Resort & Golf
Barefoot Resort is the most decorated multi-course golf resort in Myrtle Beach. It features four different courses designed by four different icons in the field: Greg Norman, Davis Love III, Tom Fazio, and Pete Dye. That means that they are both visually striking and fun to play. That’s why every major golf publication has ranked them as some of the best in the country. After a few rounds, head to the Barefoot Resort Clubhouse or the Dye Clubhouse for some lunch.
Beachwood Golf Course
If you’re searching for a golf course with all the amenities, look no further than Beechwood. This 18-hole course has a fully-stocked pro shop, driving range, snack bar, and lounge. It was designed in 1968 by Gene Hamm and features four sets of tees for golfers of all skill levels. Nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, Beachwood offers one of the best golf experiences on the Grand Strand.
Tidewater Golf Club
Tidewater Golf Club is South Carolina’s most-awarded golf course. It was named one of the “Best Courses You Can Play” in 2007 by Golfweek as well as Golf Magazine’s “Top 100 You Can Play” listing. Tidewater’s beautiful greens, perfectly manicured fairways, and exceptional practice facility means that this is one of the finest playing experiences in the area. Plus, with challenges on every hole and ample rewards for the well-placed shot, this course will bring you back again and again!
