1. Azalea Sands Golf Club

Azalea Sands was designed in 1972 by golf course architect Gene Hamm. It’s a classic on the Myrtle Beach golf scene and has a reputation for offering great golf for all ages. Azalea Sands has the widest fairways in the area, but don’t be deceived by its open layout – the beautiful trees and sand bunkers will test your skills. Choose the tee that best suits your game and go have some fun! The course is located on Highway 17 in downtown North Myrtle Beach.

2. Barefoot Resort & Golf

Boasting four different courses with spectacular views, Barefoot Resort is the most decorated multi-course golf resort in Myrtle Beach. The courses were designed by Greg Norman, Davis Love III, Tom Fazio, and Pete Dye and are visually striking and fun to play. They’ve also been ranked by every major golf publication. After a few rounds, head to the Barefoot Resort Clubhouse or the Dye Clubhouse for some lunch.

3. Possum Trot

Are you new to the golf game? Check out Possum Trot Golf Course. A world-class golf academy, practice facility, and driving range make this course one of the area’s most complete golf training centers. Possum Trot also offers plenty of challenges and shot opportunities for those with more experience. Whether you’re a novice golfer or have a single-digit handicap, an afternoon at Possum Trot will leave you with lasting memories.

4. Beachwood Golf Course

If you’re searching for a golf course with all the amenities, look no further than Beechwood. This 18-hole course has a fully-stocked pro shop, driving range, snack bar, and lounge. It was designed in 1968 by Gene Hamm and provides four sets of tees for golfers of all skill levels. Nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, Beachwood offers one of the best golf experiences on the Grand Strand.

5. Tidewater Golf Club

Tidewater Golf Club is South Carolina’s most awarded golf course. It was ranked in Golfweek’s “Best Courses You Can Play” in 2007 and recently made Golf Magazine’s “Top 100 You Can Play” listing.
