Attend Brookgreen Gardens’ Nights of a Thousand Candles 2018

Tickets are available for the 2018 season of Night of a Thousand Candles! The dates for this year’s festival are December 6 through 9, 13 through 16, and 20 through 22, from 3:00 to 10:00 p.m. The prices for the non-member tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children from ages 4 to 12. If you’re hoping to avoid the crowds, consider purchasing your ticket for Thursday. If you’d like to see the candles being lit, arrive earlier in the evening (4:00 to 5:00 p.m.). While it is North Myrtle Beach, it can still get a bit chilly. Make sure you dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes as there is going to be a lot of walking. And, as always, make sure you carpool whenever possible.

Watch a Show

Aside from the beautiful lights, you’ll also be able to watch some fantastic performances, including concerts from local bands and holiday-themed readings.

  • From December 6 to 9 you can enjoy performances by Raglan Road (performing Celtic holiday music), the Paul Grimshaw Band (performing pop and rock), and Vocal Edition (playing choral holiday standards), as well as a reading of A Christmas Carol by Bill Oberst, Jr.
  • From December 13 to 16, Ross Holmes Band (playing classic holiday songs), Rocky Fretz (a concert pianist), Ron and Natalie Daise (most known for their kid’s show, Gullah Gullah Island), and Tru Sol (playing R&B, soul, and dance music) will all be performing.
  • Finally, from December 20 to 22, you’ll enjoy the sounds from Beach Brass Quintet (playing holiday songs), Mike Frost Band (showing cool jazz), Prettier than Matt (a band playing country, pop, and rock), and Vocal Edition.
